What We Believe

WHAT WE BELIEVE
(the truths we hold to) 

 "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
 and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved."      Romans 10: 9-10

 The people of Christ the King believe that God is present, active and involved.

• We believe that God is here among us.
• We believe that God is known most clearly in the person of Jesus Christ and that Jesus calls us to follow Him as disciples.
• We believe that we are saved by grace alone - not by anything we do.
• Our salvation is through faith alone - we only need to believe that our sins are forgiven for Christ's sake, who died to redeem us.
• We believe that all who follow Christ are gifted by the Holy Spirit for ministry of many kinds.
• We are created in God's image and deserve respect, truth and love, while asserting that all need God's grace.
• We believe that it is vitally important to practice the Christian faith within an active community of faith.
