What is it? Noah's Workshop is an ongoing station where children will eventually complete an ark that will double as a child's sandbox. While learning craftsmanship is important, the objective here is to consider what it must have been like for Noah to take up the job of building an ark.
Part of this project will be completed by Easter as we hope to use our ark in the Snohomish Easter Parade. The rest of the project will be completed and ready for donation by May. We are actively seeking out a final home for this ark when it is completed. Possible homes could be a preschool, a family in need of an outdoor play area, or a day care facility.
Volunteers Needed: Leaders are needed who will teach children how to build an ark. OK, so maybe not a full sized ark but it is still quite an undertaking and leaders are needed to teach kids such skills as safety, measuring, cutting and sanding wood. Because of the nature of this project we would like one adult volunteer for every 2-3 children.
