Christ the King Pilgrimage / Mission to Jamaica

March 30 - April 3, 2009

Ten representatives of Christ the King made the journey to Jamaica to see and be involved in Christ's care for the poor in that developing nation.  When most Americans think of Jamaica, they think of a tropical vacation hotspot, and tourism is indeed one of Jamaica's largest employing industries.  Jamaica is a tropical paradise, but Jamaica is also an island nation where far too many people know extreme poverty, malnutrition, sub-standard housing, and sickness as their way of life.   To walk beside the poor and needy of Jamaica was a humbling and life-changing experience (we've all had our "Jamaica moments" since returning) for it was to see and experience the joy, mercy, and care God gives.
