faith              Confirmation

Confirmation is a program that strives to continue developing the Faith Foundations and Bible Knowledge of students who are currently enrolled in Middle School.  We strive to create fun, exciting, and accurate lesson plans that engage students on their level.  God, faith, and church can be a confusing part of life sometimes, especially if you are developing your own ideas and opinions in life.  We want to walk with these students to help guide them and listen to their thoughts on faith.  We take a two fold approach to teaching these elements; the first is founded squarely in the Bible.  The Bible will always be our foundation for this class, but we also try to relate the Biblical Stories to real life in a practical way.  This year's curriculum is based in the Old Testament, and we to add practical depth, we include Lutheran Theology and tradition to demonstrate the Biblically inspired traditions of the church.  We have a team of adult volunteers who serve as guides to the students.  These guides are another positive role model for the students, and are encouraged to share their faith with the group.  We will be doing a retreat again this year, where we stay overnight at an off site location, and continue our Faith education in a unique and exciting way.  Also, this Summer we will continue the tradition of going to the Yakima Nation, to learn about what it means to serve our brothers and sisters in this world.  Both of these trips we will need Adult Helpers, as these trips cannot happen without the proper adult to student ratio.
